Description:
1-Phenyl-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-2(1H)-pyridone-d5 is a pyridopyrimidine that has been studied for its use as an antagonist. It binds to the glutamate receptor and inhibits glutamate binding, which leads to reduced stimulation of the receptor. 1-Phenyl-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-2(1H)-pyridone-d5 has been shown to have a homogeneous amorphous form and crystalline form. The anhydrous crystalline form was found to be more potent than the anhydrous amorphous form in inhibiting glutamate activity.
