Product Information
Ethyl 2-quinoxalinecarboxylate was synthesized by reacting 2-quinoxalinecarboxylic acid with ethyl bromoacetate in the presence of a base. The compound has a high binding constant and can be used as a fluorine probe. It is also sensitive to reducers, such as sodium dithionite, and is an affinity ligand for nuclei with high electron density. Ethyl 2-quinoxalinecarboxylate binds to its receptor with higher affinity than the natural ligand, undecylenate. This molecule has a fluorine atom that can be seen on the NMR spectrum at position 3.5 ppm.
