Product Information
- 4-Nitro-2-chlorobenzoyl chloride
- Benzoyl chloride, 2-chloro-4-nitro-
2-Chloro-4-nitrobenzoyl Chloride is a nitro derivative of 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol. It is used as an oral anti-cancer drug and to synthesize drugs, such as diuretics. 2CNBCl has been shown to have diuretic effects in rats and rabbits. It also inhibits the synthesis of nitric oxide by binding to vasopressin receptors and desulfurises the structural isomer of 4-(chloromethyl) benzene. 2CNBCl has been shown to inhibit the growth of cervical cancer cells, which may be due to its ability to activate apoptotic signaling pathways in these cells by binding with the vasopressin receptor.
