Product Information

Name:
3,3-Diphenylazetidine
Description:

3,3-Diphenylazetidine is an azetidine derivative that is soluble in water. It can be used as an antidiabetic agent and a pro-inflammatory cytokine inhibitor. 3,3-Diphenylazetidine inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNFα. It also decreases the activity of soluble guanylate cyclase to inhibit the synthesis of cGMP. This drug also has been shown to have cardiovascular benefits by inhibiting angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1R) and increasing vascular nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). 3,3-Diphenylazetidine binds to biliary proteins and has been found effective against gallstones by promoting the dissolution of cholesterol crystals.
