Description:

N,N,N',N'-Tetramethylsuccinyldiamide is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is used as a synthetic intermediate in the production of cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate is an amide that is used in the manufacture of films, fibers and plastics. N,N,N',N'-Tetramethylsuccinyldiamide has been shown to be a potent cross-linking agent for cellulose acetate and can be used as a high cytotoxic agent. It reacts with metal ions such as Cu2+ and Fe3+ to form ester compounds.
