Description

4-N,N-Dimethylanilinemagnesium bromide is a tertiary organometallic compound that has been used in synthetic chemistry as a Grignard reagent. It is prepared by treating methylmagnesium chloride with anhydrous magnesium metal. 4-N,N-Dimethylanilinemagnesium bromide can be reacted with the corresponding halides to produce tertiary alcohols or ethers.
