It has been shown to inhibit the growth of ascites tumor cells in mice by inducing apoptosis through the generation of reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxidation. '-Tricyclane also has anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its inhibition of alcohol metabolism and production of reactive oxygen species.
