Product Information
- Benzoic Acid, 4-(4-Nitrobenzoyl)-
4-(4-Nitrobenzoyl)benzoic acid is a fluorescent probe that has been used to highlight, photolabel, and clickable link proteins in the cell. 4-(4-Nitrobenzoyl)benzoic acid has been used as a chemical biology tool for interventions such as protein labeling, mutagenesis, and drug discovery. It has also been shown to be bifunctional and can bind to both the progesterone receptor (PR) and amino acids in the PR ligand binding domain. This probe is able to label the PR ligand binding domain of the PR with fluorescence. 4-(4-Nitrobenzoyl)benzoic acid is an example of a pharmacological probe that can be used for diagnostic purposes.
