Description:

Dicyclopentanyl Acrylate is a monomer that is used in polymerization reactions. It has a hydroxyl group, which makes it an excellent conditioning agent for radiation-sensitive polymers. Dicyclopentanyl Acrylate can be used as a radiation-sensitive monomer in the synthesis of polymers with low energy and alicyclic character. It can be polymerized by cationic polymerization to form water-resistant materials and by light exposure to form light-sensitive materials. Dicyclopentanyl Acrylate is stable against radiation because of its high molecular weight and low reactivity with oxygen. The presence of chlorine atoms in its structure leads it to have metal chelating properties.
