Description:
Rhenium foil is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the surface of solid catalysts, such as rhenium. It is used for kinetic studies and has been shown to be able to detect the transfer reactions of hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide in the conversion of molybdenum into malonic acid. Rhenium foil has also been shown to bind with nitrogen atoms in a chelate ligand. This binding prevents the formation of an enzyme-substrate complex, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
