3,4-Dichloro-N-pentan-2-ylbenzamide is a programmed polymer that is designed to be used in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It has been redesigned to improve its optical properties and to eliminate its tendency for stator lamination. This material is also manufactured from a wide variety of organosilicon compounds and styrene. It can be manufactured into silicone sheets or films that are used in the production of electrical insulation and as an additive in paints, plastics, rubber, and other materials. 3,4-Dichloro-N-pentan-2-ylbenzamide has been shown to have good optical properties as well as improved stress resistance when overlapped with other polymers.
