Description

Divinyltin dichloride is an organometallic compound that is used as a cross-linking agent in polymerization reactions. It has the chemical formula C6H5SnCl2. Divinyltin dichloride forms a stable complex with the phenyl groups on the polymer chain and catalyzes the formation of new bonds between these chains. Divinyl tin dichloride is a radiation-resistant, water-insoluble, and heat-resistant polymerization initiator that can be used to initiate free radical polymerization reactions.
