Description:
3-Methyl-1,3,5-pentanetriol is a clear, colorless organic solvent with a high boiling point. It has been used as an industrial solvent and in the manufacture of polymers. 3-Methyl-1,3,5-pentanetriol has also been used as a corrosion inhibitor in metal ion solutions. The average particle diameter of 3-methyl-1,3,5-pentanetriol is 0.002 micrometers, and it does not dissolve in water or most organic solvents.
