Product Information
N-(4-Bromophenyl)methacrylamide is a monomer that belongs to the group of linear polymers. It has a low molecular weight and is soluble in organic solvents. When polymerized, it forms a linear polymer with a high number of terminations per unit length. N-(4-Bromophenyl)methacrylamide is used as an initiator for free radical polymerization reactions and can also be used in gel permeation chromatography for the separation of oligomers by size. The statistical distribution of the monomer units in the chain causes N-(4-bromophenyl)methacrylamide to have a very low degree of sequence homogeneity, which can be detected by gel permeation chromatography.
