Trisodium trimetaphosphate is a chinese herb that is used to treat dry skin and eczema. It is a sodium salt of the phosphoric acid with three atoms of sodium per molecule. Trisodium trimetaphosphate has been shown to be more resistant than other phosphates to water vapor, which makes it an ideal additive in toothpaste and as a food additive. Trisodium trimetaphosphate has also been shown to have angiogenic effects on human umbilical vein endothelial cells. This effect may be due to its ability to stimulate cyclic lipopeptide production and stimulate the fatty acid metabolism.
