Product Information
5,10,15,20-Tetraphenyl-21H,23H-porphine ruthenium(II) carbonyl (TPP) is a porphyrin that can be synthesized by the reaction of cycloocta[b]porphyrin zinc with tetraphenylruthenium (II) chloride. TPP has been shown to have efficiencies in its electrochemical reactions at both acetonitrile and water solutions. TPP also reversibly undergoes oxidation and reduction depending on the voltammetric conditions. The spectrum of TPP is dominated by three peaks at 665 nm, 880 nm and 1040 nm. This peak at 665 nm is attributed to the oxidized form of TPP. The peak at 880 nm is attributed to the reduced form of TPP and the peak at 1040 nm is attributed to the oxidized form of TPP.
