Product Information
2-(Bromomethyl)-6-chloroquinoxaline is a quinoxaline derivative that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. The drug binds to the bcl-2 protein and induces apoptosis, thereby inducing cell death. 2-(Bromomethyl)-6-chloroquinoxaline has been shown to be toxic in mice with tumor cells. It also inhibits the activity of dinucleotide phosphate, which is a cofactor for DNA polymerases and topoisomerases II and III, preventing transcription and replication. 2-(Bromomethyl)-6-chloroquinoxaline has minimal toxicity in cultured human leukemia HL-60 cells.
