Product Information
9,9'-Diphenyl-9H,9'H-3,3'-bicarbazole (DPC) is a fluorescent molecule that absorbs light in the ultraviolet region and emits it in the visible region. It has been used to study dipole interactions and fluorescence efficiency. DPC can be used as an exciplex with biphenyl or other aromatic compounds to produce a blue light emission. The quantum efficiency of DPC is dependent on wavelength, with the highest efficiency observed at 290 nm.
The parameters of DPC such as electron affinity and ionization potential have also been studied experimentally. 9,9'-Diphenyl-9H,9'H-3,3'-bicarbazole has also been used as an inhibitor of hydrolase activity.
