Description

8,8'-[Oxybis(2,1-ethanediyloxy-2,1-ethanediyloxy)]bis-quinoline is an electron acceptor that can be used to measure the membrane transport of free amino acids. It has been shown to be a more effective electron acceptor than 8,8'-[Oxybis(2,1-ethanediyloxy)]bis-quinoline in the measurement of amino acid transport. 8,8'-[Oxybis(2,1-ethanediyloxy)]bis-quinoline is also useful in determining the nitrogen content of multiwalled carbon nanotubes and the chemical reactions that are involved in their synthesis. This compound is found in urine samples from animals and tissues and can be used to measure membrane transport rates.
