Ibuprofen Lysinate is a water-soluble prodrug of ibuprofen that is used as an analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory agent. It is converted to the active form of ibuprofen in the body by enzymes called esterases. Ibuprofen Lysinate has been shown to have a systolic pressure lowering effect in patients with hypertension. The clinical relevance of this property remains unclear, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This drug has not been studied extensively for its pharmacokinetic properties.
