Product Information
Terbium nitrate pentahydrate (TNP) is a crystalline solid that emits light in the presence of ultraviolet radiation. It has been reported to have photocatalytic activity and can be used as a catalyst in organic reactions. TNP also has fluorescence properties, which are due to the deionized water that interacts with hydrogen bonding interactions on the crystal surface. TNP contains two electron-deficient terbium atoms and one oxygen atom, which leads to x-ray absorption and emission.
