Product Information
2-(2-Bromophenyl)propanenitrile is a molecule that is used in the synthesis of other organic compounds. It is produced by the alkylation of DMSA with dibromoethane, followed by hydrolysis to form 2-bromobenzaldehyde and 2-bromopropanenitrile. The quaternary ammonium salt can be obtained from the reaction of azolium salts with bromides or isoquinolines, and cyclization reactions lead to heterocyclic systems. Alkylation reactions are also possible using bromides or hydrobromides as starting materials.
