It inhibits protein synthesis and myristoylation, leading to cell death by apoptosis. 13-Tetradecynoic acid also exhibits fungicidal activity against Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus niger at concentrations of 0.4-1%.
