N,2,3,3-Tetramethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-amine hydrochloride is a psychostimulant that has been shown to increase spontaneous activity in rats and induce symptoms of hyperactivity and attention deficit in humans. It has been shown to promote the release of dopamine by blocking nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). In rats, it also caused an increase in locomotor activity at doses that are effective for increasing motor activity in mice, suggesting that this drug may be useful as a treatment for cancer. N,2,3,3-Tetramethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-amine was found to be an effective dose for the analysis of fatty acids and camp levels in rats with depression and physiological levels of 5-HT 3 antagonists in humans.
