Imidazole-1-sulfonyl azide tetrafluoroborate is a salt that is used in the preparation of amines, primary amines, and imidazole-1-sulfonyl azides. This salt can be prepared by the reaction of an azide with an imidazole-1-sulfonyl chloride. The most common application for this salt is to convert primary amines into secondary amines.
