Description:

2-Nitrophenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate is an antioxidant that belongs to the group of phenols. It has been shown to have a strong ability to scavenge active oxygen species and also inhibit lipid peroxidation. 2-Nitrophenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate inhibits the oxidation of alkenes, cycloalkenes, and alkylamines. It also has antioxidant properties by reacting with reactive oxygen species such as hydroxyl radicals and superoxide radicals. The chemical formula for 2-nitrophenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate is C6H3O2S+Cl−=C6HF3SO3−+HCl.
