Morpholine-4-carboxamidine hydrobromide (MOCA) is a cytotoxic drug that selectively inhibits the activity of c1-c6 alkoxy receptors. MOCA has been shown to be cytotoxic to tumour cell lines and significant cytotoxicity in human cancer cells. The compound has also been synthesised and its inhibitory properties have been studied in vitro. MOCA is a sodium nitrate salt that can be formulated as pharmaceuticals for use in humans or animals. This drug inhibits the synthesis of proteins involved in cancer development, such as protein kinases and DNA polymerase, which are essential for cell division.
