Product Information
2-Fluoro-N-methyl-6-nitroaniline is a heterocyclic compound that contains a fluorine atom in the 2 position. It has been used to synthesize other heterocycles, such as azido and chloro derivatives. The photolabeling of this molecule with tritium has shown that it reacts with chloride ions to form the chloride derivative. This reaction is regioselective, giving the desired product only when the nitro group is axial on the ring. Irradiation of this heterocycle yields a mixture of products in which one can be identified as an alpha beta unsaturated acid.
