8-Bromo-2-((1-methylpiperidin-4-yl)amino)-4-((4-phenoxyphenyl)amino)pyrido[4,3-D]pyrimidin-5(6H)-one is a specific protein that has been shown to have a high sensitivity for serum proteins. It was identified and characterized from a data base of eluting compounds from a C18 column using citric acid as eluent. The specific proteins are found in the serum of patients with hepatitis or tuberculosis and can be used for the diagnosis of these diseases. This protein binds to the surface of Streptococcus and can be used as an antigen for diagnostic purposes.
