Product Information
2-(2-(3-Chloro-4-fluorophenyl)hydrazono)-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-oxo-propanenitrile (TCFP) is a potent, reversible inhibitor of the alpha subunit of the N-type voltage gated Ca2+ channel. This compound has been shown to inhibit calcium influx into cells and exhibits anticonvulsant properties in vivo. TCFP also inhibits the release of neurotransmitters from nerve endings by blocking voltage-gated Ca2+ channels. TCFP has been used as a research tool to study protein interactions and has been found to be an antagonist at the GABA receptor. TCFP is soluble in water and can be stored at room temperature indefinitely.
