Product Information
4-(2-Phenylquinazolin-4-yl)morpholine (4PTQM) is a human liver cancer drug candidate that has potent cytotoxic properties. 4PTQM has been shown to inhibit the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) enzyme, which is involved in tumor cell proliferation, migration and survival. It also inhibits the growth of cervical cancer cells in vitro. 4PTQM binds to the pharmacophore of PI3K, which contains a hydrophobic region and several hydrogen bond acceptors. This binding prevents the enzyme from binding its substrate phosphatidylinositol bisphosphate (PIP2), inhibiting its activity. 4PTQM also has been shown to have high cytotoxicity against diploid cells and statistically optimized for potency against cervical cancer cells in vitro.
