Product Information
cis-4-Fluorocyclohexan-1-amine HCl is a noncompetitive inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), an endocannabinoid catabolic enzyme that breaks down the endogenous cannabinoid, anandamide. The FAAH inhibitor increases levels of anandamide in the brain, which may lead to reduced anxiety and depression, as well as other effects. This drug has been shown to be active in animal models of anxiety and depression. Cis-4-fluorocyclohexan-1-amine HCl is also a potential radiotracer for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of FAAH in the human brain.
