Product Information
4-Bromo-2-(bromomethyl)pyridine is a palladium catalyst that can be used in the synthesis of organic polymers. This compound is synthesized by reacting an aryl halide with chloride and reagents such as benzyloxyphenyl. The resulting product is then heated at elevated temperature to produce 4-bromo-2-(bromomethyl)pyridine. It is also possible to use heteroleptic complex catalysis, which involves two different metal catalysts, such as palladium and suzuki, in order to produce 4-bromo-2-(bromomethyl)pyridine. The final product must be purified by distillation or recrystallization before being used for polymer synthesis.
4-Bromo-2-(bromomethyl)pyridine has been shown to have a chloride concentration of 100 mM and an orientation of 90° when synthes
