Product Information
Saccharin 1-methylimidazole is a chemical compound that can be used for the synthesis of oligoribonucleotides. It is synthesized by reacting saccharin with 1-methylimidazole in the presence of an activator and a coupling agent. Saccharin 1-methylimidazole is efficient, as it reacts to form carboxylic acids and phosphoramidites in high yields. Saccharin 1-methylimidazole can be used for the synthesis of DNA, RNA or oligodeoxyribonucleotides. The nucleoside, 5-benzylthio-1H-tetrazole, can be synthesized from saccharin 1-methylimidazole by reacting with sodium azide and ethyl acetate in methanol.
