It modulates the activity of this channel by binding to it and blocking it. This channel plays an important role in maintaining the membrane potential of cells. Dihydrobenzoxepinone can also bind to receptors and act as an agonist or antagonist. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase, which is involved in protein folding and cellular metabolism.
