7-(3-Chloropropoxy)-4-chloroquinazoline is a multikinase inhibitor that binds to the ATP binding site of kinases and inhibits their activity. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of VEGFR-2, which is an important target for cancer drug discovery. 7-(3-Chloropropoxy)-4-chloroquinazoline is active in biochemical assays and has been profiled against a variety of kinases. The drug was envisaged to be able to bind to other targets, but docking studies have revealed that this may not be the case.
