Description:

Primuline is a monoclonal antibody that has a fluorescent derivative. It is activated by ultraviolet light and becomes metastable, which allows it to be used as a marker in biological samples. Primuline binds to the disulfide bonds of proteins, inhibiting their activity. This drug has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against human hepatoma cells. Primuline can also be used for wastewater treatment due to its ability to bind to caproic acid and remove it from the water. Primuline is an enzyme inhibitor that prevents protease activity and cell nuclei from undergoing mitosis.
