Aloe Emodin 8-Glucoside is a natural compound that belongs to the group of sennosides. It is thought that this drug may work by inhibiting phosphatases, which are enzymes that break down other enzymes. Aloe Emodin 8-Glucoside has been shown to inhibit ptp1b, which is an enzyme involved in the production of insulin and serotonin. This drug also binds to allosteric sites on protein kinase A (PKA), leading to increased levels of cAMP and decreased levels of cGMP in cells.
