Name:
dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-ol
Description:

Dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-ol is a naturally occurring aromatic hydrocarbon that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is generated by the oxidation of benzoic acid and can be found in plants such as Huperzia serrata and in wastewater treatment. Dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-ol has also been shown to have insulin sensitizing effects and may be used for the treatment of metabolic disorders. This chemical substance is thermally unstable and decomposes at temperatures above 200°C or below -20°C. Dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-ol is a hydroxyl compound that reacts with an amine group to form a cationic polymerization agent that can be used for diode fabrication.
