Product Information
- 3-Pyridinecarboxylic Acid, 2-[(Phenylmethyl)Amino]-
2-(Benzylamino)nicotinic acid is an arylboronic acid that has been used in the Suzuki coupling reaction. This reaction allows for the diversity of arylboronic acids to be coupled with aryl halides to form new compounds. The basic reaction involves reacting the boron atom of 2-(benzylamino)nicotinic acid with an aryl halide in the presence of palladium-based catalyst and base, forming an aryl-palladium complex. This complex then reacts with another molecule of 2-(benzylamino)nicotinic acid, generating a new compound.
