1-O-Methyl-4-oxo-1,2,3,4a,5,6,7,8-octahydronaphthalene is a natural product that has been isolated from the wood of Cryptomeria japonica and Achillea millefolium. It has been shown to have strong activity against organisms such as cryptomeria and japonica. 1-O-Methyl-4-oxo-1,2,3,4a,5,6,7,8-octahydronaphthalene has also been demonstrated to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
