Product Information
TAPI-2 is a toll-like receptor that is involved in the innate immune system. TAPI-2 is expressed in vivo in the human bowel and has been shown to be proteolytic, which may be due to its signal peptide. The biological sample of TAPI-2 was found to have receptor activity when it was used in an experimental model of bowel disease. TAPI-2 has also been found to have a role in metabolic disorders, as well as being involved in diseases such as autoimmune diseases and neuronal death. It has also been shown that TAPI-2 can be inhibited by enzyme inhibitors, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
