Lucitanib is a potent anti-tumor agent that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the production of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1). It also has antiangiogenic properties. Lucitanib has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. A mouse tumor model was used to study the effects of lucitanib, which showed a significant inhibition of tumor size. In addition, lucitanib inhibited IL-2 receptor expression, leading to an increase in apoptosis of T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. The drug also showed potent antitumor activity against carcinoma cell lines in vitro. The LC-MS/MS method was used for identification and quantification of lucitanib in biological samples from breast cancer patients.
