Description:
Z-Triprolidine hydrochloride is a hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) derivative that acts as an adrenergic receptor agonist. It has been shown to have a diameter of 5.1 nm and is stable in the presence of multilayer tablets with polyvinylpyrrolidone. Z-Triprolidine hydrochloride has been shown to be effective in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis, neurodermatitis, and chronic urticaria. This drug also interacts with other drugs, such as antihistamines and antidepressants, which may lead to increased sedation or drowsiness. The drug's active form is hydroxyzine, which is an orally administered drug that also binds to cutaneous mast cells and basophils.
