Description:
1-(3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzyl)piperazine is a pharmacological compound that inhibits the activity of multidrug resistance proteins. It modulates the activity of these proteins by binding to them and preventing efflux from cells. It also enhances the uptake of drugs into cells. This compound has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of P-glycoprotein in k562 cells and may be effective in treating multidrug resistant cancers.
