N-(1-Benzylpiperidin-4-yl)-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(4-methyl-1,4-diazepan-1-yl)quinazolin-4-amine hydrate trihydrochloride (NBIQ) is a drug used to treat synaptic disorders. It increases the activity of the enzyme that synthesizes long chain fatty acids by inhibiting the enzyme that breaks down these fatty acids. It has been shown to be effective in adults but not in animals and has been shown to have no effect on x-linked adrenoleukodystrophy.
