Description:
6-Chloro-2-ethyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole (6C2EBI) is a fungicide that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of chitin, a component of fungal cell walls. This compound is used to control fungi that cause cotton rot, leaf spot, and other diseases. 6C2EBI has been shown to be active against many species of fungi and can be used in both preplant and postplant applications. 6C2EBI also has pesticidal activity against insects such as Japanese beetles and corn borers.
