Product Information
- 3-Methyl-2-quinoxalinamine
- 3-Methylquinoxalin-2-Amine
2-Amino-3-methylquinoxaline is a quinoxaline derivative that has been substituted with methoxy and fluorine atoms. The substitutions on the phenoxy ring have been shown to increase its antibacterial activity, which may be due to the inhibition of bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. 2-Amino-3-methylquinoxaline has also been shown to inhibit protein synthesis by binding to ribosomal RNA.
