Product Information
- Cis-Dl-3-(2,2-Dichlorovinyl)-2,2-Dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic Acid
Cis-permethrin is a pyrethroid pesticide that inhibits the function of the sodium channel and potassium channel in insects, leading to paralysis and death. It is rapidly absorbed through the skin and excreted unchanged in urine. Cis-permethrin has been detected in human urine using a gas chromatographic method with a mass spectrometric detection system. Cis-permethrinic acid is an acid metabolite of cis-permethrin that has been detected in human urine samples. This metabolite may be formed by esterases or glucuronidases, which hydrolyze cis-permethrin to form cis-6-methylcyclohexenol and 6-methylcyclohexanol, which are subsequently oxidized to form cis-6-(1'-hydroxyethyl)cyclohexanol. The latter compound then undergoes reduction to form cis-6-(1'-hydroxyethyl)cyclohexanone, which spontaneously hydroly
