Product Information
4-Methyl-1,2,3-thiadiazole-5-carbonyl chloride is a molecule used in the synthesis of insecticides. It has been found to be an effective fungicide against tobacco and viruses. 4-Methyl-1,2,3-thiadiazole-5-carbonyl chloride has also been used as a feed additive for the control of Plutella xylostella larvae. This substance binds to the cell membrane which blocks ion channels and prevents cellular respiration. 4MTTCC also inhibits protein synthesis by binding to tubulin and preventing polymerization of microtubules.
